Di's last melody One summer morning, at sunrise, the sun rose above the horizon and reflected on the morning dew. Beautiful flowers began to bloom. Among them was a very small flower with the smallest bud. Inside this flower lived a simple musician named Di. She was not like other musicians. Di was a magician and played classical music. She didn’t wear a bright dress or a crown, but she had a magic flute like all musicians. When Di was born, an evil witch put a curse on her. The witch saw that Di might become strong and stop her. Because of the curse, Di could only use her flute’s magic once. She waited for the right time to use it, but that moment never came. One spring day, Di woke up and washed her face with drops of dew. She looked around and saw that the flowers near her had turned dark. She couldn’t believe it. The flowers were her friends. She talked to them about her dreams and secrets. Now, they were gone. Di felt very sad and lonely. Weeks passed, and Di thought about how to help the flowers. She decided to use her flute to make rain. Early in the morning, she looked at the sky, took her flute, and played a melody her mother used to play. The rain came, and the flowers came back to life. They were colorful and beautiful again. Di was extremely happy. However after a few days, she noticed that the flowers were dying from too much water. Di tried to make the sun shine with her flute, but it didn’t work. In the end, she made a small umbrella from the last petal of her home. Cold and wet, Di turned into a little gemstone, and she stayed forever with the fading friends-flowers.
